Alessia Russo has been awarded honorary Freedom of the Borough of Maidstone for her historic achievements with the Lionesses.
Russo was part of the England team that won Euro 2022, scoring four goals at the tournament and was also the joint-top scorer as the Lionesses made the World Cup final for the first time last summer.
Russo, who plays for Arsenal, grew up in Maidstone and the Council has been working with her family to celebrate her achievements and contribution to women's football in recent years.
'It's a huge honour for me to receive this accolade,' Russo said.
