Crystal Palace are not discounting a shock return to the club for former boss Roy Hodgson.
The south London club sacked Patrick Vieira on Friday morning following an awful run that leaves the club without a victory in 2023 - a run of 12 matches.
For now, Republic of Ireland defender Paddy McCarthy will have the opportunity to make the Crystal Palace job his own until the end of the season.
The ex-Eagles defender - who is currently under-21 coach at Selhurst Park - will be handed the task of managing the team against Arsenal on Sunday following the sacking of Vieira.
