CSKA Moscow 2-2 Arsenal (agg: 3-6): Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey fire nervy Gunners into semi-finals after Fyodor Chalov and Kirill Nababkin had Russians on the brink of heroic comeback

Arsenal are through to the Europa League semi-finals after surviving an almighty scare to advance past CSKA Moscow on Thursday night at the VEB Stadium.

CSKA, 4-1 down from the first leg, were one goal away from completing a remarkable comeback through Fyodor Chalov and Kirill Nababkin strikes either side of half time.

But Danny Welbeck's goal 15 minutes from time ensured Arsene Wenger's side advanced and kept Arsenal's hopes of Champions League hopes alive before Aaron Ramsey made the game safe in injury time.
