Thousands of fans were left stuck outside the Emirates in scenes described as ‘dangerous’ as Arsenal’s Women’s Super League game with Chelsea kicked off on Sunday afternoon.
Over 46,000 tickets had been sold for the top-of-the-table clash and there were heavy queues at tube stations and on approach to the stadium.
Supporters found themselves crammed closely together by turnstile entrances, with some describing the situation as ‘dangerous’.
