Cecily Wellesley-Smith has joined Barclays Women’s Super League side Leicester City on loan for the 2025/26 season.
The 18-year-old defender will now continue her development with The Foxes.
Cecily joined our academy aged 17 in August 2024 and quickly became a key member of our Under-21 squad, helping us win the 2024/25 PGA League Under-21 Division One title.
Last season, Cecily also spent time on a dual-registration agreement with FA Women’s National League South side Oxford United, making a total of 16 appearances across all competitions.
Cecily has trained regularly with our first-team squad over the past season, including attending our pre-season training camp in Germany this summer.
