Bukayo Saka claims England are using the Lionesses Euro 2022 success as extra motivation ahead of the World Cup in Qatar as the winger insists winning Three Lions’ Player of the Year award after Euros penalty heartache is ‘one of the most special honours’

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka says England are using the success of the women's team as a motivator going into next month's World Cup.

The Lionesses made history this summer after winning Euro 2022, England's first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.

Saka says the men's team are hungry to win this year's tournament in Qatar and seeing the women's success has given them further motivation.

In an interview with ES Magazine, the 21-year-old said: ‘But yeah, the World Cup is always in the back of my mind.
