Bernd Leno 'could swap Arsenal for Benfica for just £8.5m' after being usurped by Aaron Ramsdale as the Gunners' first choice keeper

Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno is rumoured to be joining Portuguese club Benfica this summer for £8.5m.

The German international spent three years as the Gunners' first-choice stopper, and was runner up in the club's player of the season around in 2019-20.

Leno has fallen out of favour this season though and has played just four league games due to the emergence of Aaron Ramsdale.

Ramsdale has been widely praised this season as only four Premier League keepers have bettered his 12 clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Leno has made just one league appearance since starting Arsenal's 5-0 loss to Manchester City in late August.
