Arsenal suffering worst away league run since 1984 as Newcastle defeat leaves them without a point in FIVE games on the road... and they haven't started a year so badly since 1925!

Arsenal are currently enduring their worst away run in Premier League history, with defeat by Newcastle on Sunday taking them to FIVE defeats on the spin for the first time since December 1984.

The Gunners have lost all five of their matches away from the Emirates in 2018, a 93-year low stretching all the way back to 1925!

The club currently sit sixth in the table, and are in real danger of slipping below in-form Burnley to drop into the final Europa League position.

Arsene Wenger will be well aware of the pressure on his shoulders, and a triumph in the Europa League could be the only way he keeps his job beyond the summer.
