Arsenal are still pursuing Bologna defender and Japan international Takehiro Tomiyasu and are arranging to fly out a club doctor to perform a medical in case they can do a deal today.
Tomiyasu, 22, can play centre half and right back – and with Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles both unsettled, a decision today may free up an exit for either of those players.
However, Everton are said to have dropped their interest in Maitland-Niles.
