Having lost the first leg 4-1 in the Nou Camp; the Italian club staged a stunning second leg comeback to go through to the semi final with a shock 3-0 win in Rome.

Arsenal have an identical lead over CSKA Moscow ahead of Thursday’s second leg at the VEB Arena, and Wenger has ordered his players to take Roma’s unbelievable triumph as a lesson.

Having lost 4-1 to Barcelona in the first leg, Roma won 3-0 in Italy to progress to the semis

Arsenal also won their Europa League quarter final first leg 4-1, against CSKA Moscow

He said: ‘It can happen in the game, that is why we love football, it is unpredictable.
