Arsenal legend Ian Wright reveals he is 'devastated' over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's Emirates exit as he claims the Gabon international was 'made for the Gunners' and questions why the club renewed the striker's contract

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said he is 'devastated' over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's exit as he claimed the striker 'was made' for the Gunners.

The 32-year-old brought an end to his Arsenal exile as he joined Spanish giants Barcelona on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract with an 18-month break clause this week.

The Gabon international had not played for the Gunners since a five-minute cameo against Everton on December 6 and had been stripped of the captaincy by boss Mikel Arteta following a disciplinary breach.

Aubameyang netted 92 times in 163 games across his four-year stay at the Emirates and Gunners hero Wright admitted he was sad to see the striker leave as the club will miss his attacking output.
