Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg quits coaching role to join Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg

Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has followed Andries Jonker to Wolfsburg to work as one of his assistant coaches.

Jonker was appointed as the new boss of the German side on Monday, ending his spell as the Gunners' academy manager.

During his time at Arsenal, the 54-year-old worked with Ljungberg as part of his coaching of the youth sides and he has now revealed the Swede will be joining him at Wolfsburg.

Ljungberg is set to be one of Jonker's assistant coaches, alongside Uwe Speidel.

"He (Ljungberg) is interested in the individual development of the players and what he says is what I think," said Jonker.
