Mikel Arteta is set to lose a crucial member of his backroom staff, with Italian side Parma closing in on the appointment of his assistant Carlos Cuesta.
At just 29, the Spaniard, who joined Arteta's staff in 2020, is set to become the youngest Serie A manager this century after Elio Loschi, who took over Triestina in 1939 at the age of 29 years, nine months and 20 days old.
His departure will come as a major blow to the Gunners boss ahead of what could be a defining season in his career at the Emirates.
