Alexis played the full 90 minutes as Chile drew 1-1 with Australia. James Troisi gave the Socceroos the lead shortly before the interval, with Martin Rodriguez equalising in the second half. Chile have now qualified for the semi-finals.
Shkodran Mustafi was an unused substitute in Germany’s 3-1 win over Cameroon. Kerem Demirbay opened the scoring for Germany, before Timo Werner added a second. Vincent Aboubakar halved the deficit, only for Werner to respond immediately and add a third to confirm Germany's qualification.
