Aaron Ramsey verbally agrees a move to French side Nice on a free after leaving Juventus - with the Welsh midfielder keen for first-team football ahead of the World Cup this winter

Aaron Ramsey is closing in on a free transfer move to Nice after reaching a verbal agreement with the French side.

The Wales midfielder is without a club after settling the final year of his contract with Juventus last month. Sportsmail revealed on July 17 that Ramsey was in talks with Juventus after finding himself surplus to requirements for boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Now Nice have moved for the 31-year-old, who is a key member of the Wales squad that qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1958, and only the second time in history.
