Mikel Arteta has hailed Arsene Wenger as a 'phenomenal influence in world football' after the former Arsenal boss was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

Wenger, 73, and Sir Alex Ferguson became the first managers to enter the prestigious Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

The legendary duo won 16 Premier League titles between them while developing a fierce rivalry over the years when managing their respective clubs, Manchester United and the Gunners.

Wenger was in charge of Arsenal from 1996-2018 as he managed 1,235 games including 828 Premier League matches.
