WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's cross country team kicks off the 2016 season with a dual meet against Maine on Friday in Orono, Maine, at 3 p.m.
The Black Knights are start its third season under head coach Mike Smith. After bringing in nine new cadets, Army is looking forward to seeing how its freshmen can handle collegiate running.
"We are looking forward to seeing how our freshman fit into the program and how they handle running a collegiate course," said Smith. "The majority of our women's team is made up of freshmen so our performance will be heavily relied on the newcomers.
