Clinton, S.C. – The Army West Point baseball team fell here Sunday afternoon to Presbyterian, 13-4, in final game of the series.
With the victory, the Blue Hose took the series, 2-1. Army drops to 7-12 overall, while Presbyterian improves to 11-11.
The Blue Hose jumped on Army early, scoring three runs in the first inning. Army eventually battled back and tied the game up at 3-3 after two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth. Unfortunately, back-to-back five-run innings for the hosts ultimately handed them the lopsided victory.
Matt Hudgins closed out the Cadets' scoring with his second career home run in the ninth inning.
