WEST POINT, N.Y. – Freshman pitcher Renee Poirier has been named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week after going 2-0 and allowing no earned runs. Poirier was also named the Patriot League's Rookie of the Week for her outstanding performance in the circle.
"Renee has improved dramatically since the fall season and it's a true testament to her own personal investment in getting better," said head coach Michelle DePolo. "She has put in a great deal of time on her own, and invested in what the coaching staff has taught her.
