Men's Cross Country Projected Second

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Army West Point men's cross country team was picked to finish second in the Patriot League's annual preseason poll.

Army will look to prove themselves with 10 runners returning and 10 newcomers joining the ranks. Senior captain Matt Bearden will lead this young team as they get accumulated to the college distance.

Three-time defending champion Navy collected all 18 possible first-place votes. After coming in third at last year's Patriot League Championships, Army captured second with 135 points. Boston University followed with 129 points and the rest of the field was as follows, Lehigh (114), Bucknell (89), American (60), Holy Cross (60), Lafayette (49), Colgate (37) and Loyola Maryland (22).
