BOSTON, MA - Army West Point plebe defenseman Mac Gadowksy has been named Altantic Hockey defensive player of the month for December, announced today by the league.
Gadowksy logged a stellar mark of eight points in three games in the month while blocking four shots to help Army pick up a league win at Mercyhurst before recording the program's first victory over a ranked opponent since 2-17 with its win over New Hampshire to close the month. The State College, Pa. native registered multiple points in each game throughout the month.
Gadowsky helped Army to a pivotal comeback at Mercyhurst to begin the month, logging a conference-high four points in a single period as Army scored all four of its goals in the final frame to secure a 4-3 regulation victory.
