WEST POINT, N.Y. – Former Army outfielder Jacob Hurtubise was promoted to the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
Hurtubise will be the sixth Black Knight to reach Triple-A (RHP Craig Jones, 1982-84, RHP Milan Dinga, 2008, LHP Nick Hill, 2013-15, RHP Chris Rowley, 2017-19 *, and C Jon Rosoff, 2021).
Hurtubise signed with the Cincinnati Reds in 2020 as an undrafted free agent; the 2020 draft was shortened to five rounds due to COVID-19.
From 2017-2020, the Zionsville, Ind. native had a .301 avg, 163 runs, 12 doubles, and seven triples for the Black Knights.
