BUFFALO, NY – Army West Point hockey (14-18-4, 12-12-2 AHA) secured a 1-0 overtime victory over Canisius (16-17-3, 13-10-3 AHA) in game two of the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinals.
Brett Abdelnour scored the overtime winner for the Black Knights 6:17 into the fourth frame. Gavin Abric made 23 saves in net for his second shutout of the season as Army forces a decisive game three tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
Returning for game two, both teams struggled to puck puts on net early. Canisius put the puck into the back of the net just over eight minutes in, but the goal was called off for goaltender interference.
