WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point football team saw two members of the offensive unit earn 2021 Preseason All-Independent Team honors from Phil Steele Publications recently.
Running back Jakobi Buchanan and lineman Connor Finucane were recognized as second team honorees by the publication.
Buchanan returns for his junior season as one of the top running backs on the team after playing in 11 games during the 2020 season. He ran for over 560 yards on 111 attempts and six touchdowns. He ran for a career high 106 yards and two touchdowns, including a 40-yard scamper against Louisiana-Monroe to help Army move to 2-0 on the season.
