WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point Football had its annual Spring Game on Friday night at Michie Stadium. Before the game the team saluted seven former football players as honorary captains: Ben Barnett '90, Greg Cleveland '92, Jack Frey ' 89, Mike Mayweather '91, Willie McMillian '92, O'Neal Miller '90 and Arlen Smith '92.
Most notably, Mayweather who was inducted into the Army West Point Hall of Fame in 2005 carried out the Army Football Black Flag as the team took the field is the only Army football player to have compiled multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons, eclipsing the 1,000-yard plateau three times in his career, establishing the Academy's career rushing record with 4,299 yards.
