CHARLOTTE, NC – The Army West Point baseball team (4-2, 0-0 PL) fell to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers (4-4, 0-0, C-USA) 11-2 in Game 3 Sunday afternoon, unable to complete the three-game sweep. Army's Sam Ruta went 1-4, had 2 RBIs, and a 2-run home run. Senior Ross Friedrick also went 2-3 and had a double.
How it Happened
The Niners attacked Army starter Steven Graver (0-1) with Charlotte's Josh Patrick hitting a 3-run home run. Scoring were Kaden Hopson and Will Butcher in the bottom of the first inning.
