HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Army West Point softball team (11-21, 3-0 PL) defeated the Hofstra Pride (11-17, 5-1 CAA) Wednesday afternoon. Army's Kayla Edwards went 3-4, having an RBI and a double.
How it Happened
In the top of the first inning, the Black Knights threatened Hofstra starter Haley Venturini (No Decision). With one out, Angelina Bebek hit a single to right center, putting a runner on first. With two outs, Kayla Edwards hit a double to left field, the Pride retired the side tagging Bebek out at home.
