PHILADELPHIA – The much anticipated Army West Point football season kicked off Friday night at Lincoln Financial Field against Temple and it sure didn't disappoint.
A strong offensive showing from the Black Knights handed Army its first season-opening win since 2010 following a 28-13 victory.
It was a back-and-forth affair for much of the opening half with the hosts taking a slight 10-7 edge into the break.
But that was all about to change. Three second half touchdowns from the Black Knights, two from Andy Davidson alone, provided Army the needed scores to defeat Temple for the first time in six tries.
