Wolves’ run game a key during rally

JONESBORO -- An Arkansas State tailback had not reached 100 rushing yards in a game this season ahead of the team's 34-24 victory Saturday over Georgia Southern. Two Red Wolves reached the century mark in leading a comeback.

Kenyon Clay and Devin Spencer rushed for 124 and 123 yards, respectively, as ASU finished with a season-best 266 rushing yards. It was the first time the program has had two 100-yard rushers in the same game since 2016.

"I think our two running backs have run the ball exceptionally hard over the last couple of weeks," ASU Coach Butch Jones said.
