The feeling on the team bus heading back from Lafayette, La., on Sunday evening was pretty easy to describe for UALR center fielder Hunter Owens.
"Everybody had a good energy," he said.
Fresh off a series victory over then-nationally ranked and Sun Belt Conference favorite Louisiana-Lafayette, the UALR baseball team aimed to keep that going in a nonconference game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Gary Hogan Field on Tuesday night.
After two errors put the Trojans in an early hole, a double play got them out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning and Cameron Knight gave them the lead with a sixth-inning home run to left.
