BATON ROUGE, La. (5/5/17) – Arkansas State freshman golfer Zan Luka Stirn completed his first round competition at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional Golf Tournament in a tie for 32nd after firing a 3-over-par 75 at The University Club golf course.
Stirn, one of five individuals selected to compete at the regional, remained at even par through much of the early part of his round until a double-bogey on the par-3, eighth role sent the reigning Sun Belt Freshman of the Year to two-over par on the day.
A bogey on the ninth, 10th and 12th holes put him a five-over, before he rebounded with birdies on holes 15 and 17 to finish his afternoon at 3-over par and in a tie of 32nd place.
