JONESBORO, Ark. (1/19/16) – Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin issued an official proclamation at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting recognizing the Arkansas State volleyball squad for its accomplishments during the 2015 season, which included the program’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1999.
The proclamation states that the week of Jan. 17-23, 2016 is A-State Women’s Volleyball Week in the City of Jonesboro.
A-State head coach David Rehr, along with the rest of the team, were on hand to accept the award from Mayor Perrin and thanked the mayor along with the entire city of Jonesboro for all of their support this season as the fans were instrumental in helping the Red Wolves to a perfect 8-0 record at the Convocation Center, including a record crowd of 2,517 against Appalachian State in the regular-season finale.
