JONESBORO, Ark. (1/18/17) – Arkansas State head volleyball coach David Rehr announced the hiring of Brian Gerwig, who spent the last four seasons at George Washington University, as an assistant coach Wednesday.
Gerwig is expected to coach A-State’s back row and libero while playing an integral role in opponent scouting and game planning along with recruiting responsibilities. The GW volleyball program registered 70 wins during his four years as an assistant coach, including back-to-back 20+ win campaigns in 2014 and 2015.
“I've gotten to know Brian as a coach and as a man and I have been thoroughly impressed with him since the first time we coached against each other,” said Rehr.
