SMYRNA, Tenn. (3/18/16) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team finished the first day of competition at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic Friday at the Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn., with a 3-3 record and in seventh place of the 30-team event.
The No. 2 Red Wolves (68-29) began the day with a 974-857 over No. 11 Maryland-Eastern Shore, but dropped a 941-911 decision to No. 25 Jackson State in its second match of the day. Arkansas State bounced back with a 986-841 victory over Alabama State, but lost to No. 3 Vanderbilt 955-919 to fall to 2-2 on the day.
