Slamming Slavens

FAYETTEVILLE -- University of Arkansas right fielder Brady Slavens stayed on a hitting tear Tuesday night.

Slavens went 4 for 5 with a grand slam to help power the No. 3 Razorbacks to a 10-1 victory over Arkansas State University at Baum-Walker Stadium.

After Slavens started the season batting .187 (14 for 75), Razorbacks Coach Dave Van Horn decided to sit him down for three games.

Since Slavens returned to the lineup against Mississippi State on April 2, he's batting .467 (21 for 45) the past 19 games with 5 home runs, 4 doubles, 3 triples and 24 runs batted in.
