JONESBORO, Ark. (4/12/16) — Joe Schrimpf drove in a game-high four runs, Southeast Missouri State plated 13 runs and scattered 16 hits in a 13-8 win over Arkansas State Tuesday night at Tomlinson Stadium.
A-State (13-19) fell behind early but pulled within in the fifth and again in the seventh inning, but could not find a way to push across the tying run.
The Red Wolves pulled within 5-4 in the fifth inning when Schrimpf drove in the second of his three runs on the night. Matt Burgess followed with a 2-run home run to get within in a run, but A-State failed to continue the inning.
