Schmidt, A-State Win Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational

ERIE, Colo. (9/30/25) – Thomas Schmidt carded the second-lowest 54-hole score relative to par in NCAA men's golf history to claim individual medalist honors, leading Arkansas State to the team title at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational at Colorado National Golf Club.

Schmidt closed with a 5-under 67 to finish at 22-under 194, matching Dustin Morris (Colorado State, 2007) and Camilo Villegas (Florida, 2003) for the second-lowest 54-hole total in relation to par in NCAA men's golf history. Across 54 holes, Schmidt had an eagle, 22 birdies, 29 pars and just two bogeys. His 22-under par 194 bests his previous program record of 19-under par 197 at the 2024 Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
