SAN MARCOS, Texas (5/12/18) – Freshman Babette Vandeput won the women’s discus throw and both the Arkansas State men’s and women’s track and field squads are third in the team standings heading to the final day of competition at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships.
“After day two, we feel really good about where both the men’s and women’s team are at this point,” said A-State head coach Jim Patchell. “The men are about where we thought they would be and the women have outperformed where we projected after day two, thanks to our discus throwers.
