Red Wolves Take Second at Whirlwind Invitational

CHANDLER, Ariz. (9/9/25) – Posting the fourth-lowest 54-hole total in program history, the Arkansas State men's golf team opened its season with a second-place finish at the Whirlwind Invitational played at Whirlwind Golf Club.

A-State carded a second consecutive 11-under par 277 to wrap up the tournament at 40-under par 824. It marks the lowest 54-hole total in program history in an event outside of Jonesboro and fourth-lowest overall. Host USC won the team title at 52-under par 812 with UTEP (-39), New Mexico State (-29), Stetson (-25) and James Madison (-25) rounding out the top five teams and ties in the 12-team field.
