Red Wolves Stand Sixth at A-State/Little Rock Women’s Golf Invitational

MAUMELLE, Ark. (3/28/16) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team began play Monday at the A-State/Little Rock Women’s Golf Invitational, shooting a combined 616 to complete the 54-hole tournament’s opening two rounds in sixth place among nine teams.

The Red Wolves ended the first round at the Maumelle Country Club in fifth place after recording a 305, but dropped one place in the standings after tacking six strokes onto that total for the second 18 holes. A-State will enter tomorrow’s third-and-final round only one stroke behind Little Rock, while Central Arkansas stands first with a 594.

Arkansas State was led by Sarah Childers, who shot a combined 149 to put her in a tie for eighth place.
