Red Wolves Place Fifth at A-State/Little Rock Invite

MAUMELLE, Ark. (3/29/16) – Arkansas State shot a 307 Tuesday at the A-State/Little Rock Women’s Golf Invitational and climbed one spot in the final standings, finishing the 54-hole tournament in fifth place among nine teams with a combined 923 posted at the Maumelle Country Club.

A-State had four players improve their individual standing today, and the Red Wolves’ final-round 307 was the second best score of the day among all competing teams. Arkansas State opened play Monday with a 305 that put in fifth place, but followed with a 311 while dropping to sixth.

The Red Wolves were led by four players placing among the top-25 individual leaders, including freshmen Aracelly Jimenez Rios and Beth Ann Compton and sophomores Sarah Childers and Emma Miller.
