TULSA, Okla. (9/25/17) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team shot a combined 606 Monday at the Mark Allen ORU Shootout, ending the two-day tournament’s opening two rounds in fourth place among 17 teams.
The Red Wolves ended the first round in second place after posting a 299, but dropped two places in the standings after tacking eight strokes onto that total for the second 18 holes. A-State is just two strokes behind third-place UTEP, trails second-place Lamar by three and is within six strokes of leader Oral Roberts.
Arkansas State was led by three players ending the day among the top-20 individual leaders, including Beth Ann Compton in a tie for eighth place.
