MESA, Ariz. (4/8/17) – Arkansas State track and field competed against some of the top teams from the NCAA West Region in the Sun Angel Classic this weekend and left with five first place finishes.
Senior Erin Farmer impressed in the shot put competition as she climbed up to second in the national rankings for the event. She posted a throw of 17.93m (58-09.75) to win the event and improve upon her own school record (17.80m/58-04.75).
After a two week break, junior Jaylen Bacon returned to competition and continued his dominance in the sprints. Bacon won the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 10.
