JONESBORO — Welcome back, Aundrea Gamble.
The senior returned to her high-scoring form, while Khadija Brown-Haywood did what has become expected from her for the Arkansas State women’s basketball team Saturday.
Brown-Haywood scored 21 points and Gamble added 20
— her highest against a Sun Belt team this season — to lead ASU to an 83-60 victory over Appalachian State at the Convocation Center.
The victory was ASU’s 17th consecutive at home and kept it alone at the top of the Sun Belt Conference standings. The Red Wolves also saw for just the second time this season what was so common much of last season — Brown-Haywood and Gamble scoring at will at the same time.
