The Aggies took control of the game from the start and went on a 10-0 run to build a double-digit advantage just minutes into the game, but Kayla Williams provided a spark off the bench as she hit a pair of 3-pointers in the period to draw A-State within 21-16.

Williams scored 11 of her team-high 16 points in the opening quarter as the Red Wolves (1-4) trailed by nine after the opening 10 minutes of play.

“They are a really good team and it obviously shows with their ranking, which I think will only improve as the season goes on,” A-State head coach Brian Boyer said.
