Red Wolves Begin Play at A-State/Little Rock Invite

MAUMELLE, Ark. (3/27/17) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team began play Monday at the A-State/Little Rock Invitational, using two separate squads that ended the two-day tournament’s first 36 holes in sixth and 10th place among 13 teams.

Including both squads, the Red Wolves ended the day with three players among the top 25 individual leaders. Beth Ann Compton shot a 153 (78-75) and Marisa Marquez a 154 (77-77) to place them tied for 15th and 21st place, respectively, as they led the A-State unit in sixth place.

The squad recorded a team score of 309 for both the first and second rounds, giving it a 618 total that left it just three strokes behind fifth-place Northern Illinois and within four of fourth-place Toledo.
