JONESBORO, Ark. (8/24/21) – Fifth-year senior goalkeeper Megan McClure of the Arkansas State women’s soccer team was named Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week and Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the organizations announced Tuesday.
In front of a record crowd at Washington State in Thursday’s season opener, McClure had nine saves as the Arkansas State women’s soccer team came away with a 1-1 draw. The Cougars, a 2019 NCAA College Cup qualifier, scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute, but McClure did not concede a goal in the run of play.
