JONESBORO, Ark. (10/2/17) – Arkansas State junior Carlisa May earned her second Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, while middle blocker Timber Terrell claimed her second straight SBC Freshman of the Week award as the league office announced its weekly volleyball awards Monday afternoon.
A native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., May recorded 36 kills for a league-best 4.50 per set average on a .384 attacking percentage over the nomination period. She posted a season-best 24 kills on a .352 hitting percentage in the five-set loss to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Friday.
