A-State was led in scoring by All-American candidate Khadija Brown-Haywood who finished with 22 points on 9-16 shooting. Brown-Haywood also reeled in nine rebounds. A-State’s other double digit scorer was fellow All-American candidate Aundrea Gamble, who finished with 16 points on 5-11 shooting. Gamble also dished out six assists.
With the win, the Lady Red Wolves clinched the one seed in the upcoming Sun Belt conference tournament. They are now locked into a Wednesday, March 9 matchup with the eight seed in the SBC at 11:30 a.m.
