Two weeks before Desi Sills committed to Arkansas State University, Red Wolves guard Marquis Eaton spotted his former Jonesboro High teammate at a local restaurant, figuring the University of Arkansas transfer, who was previously committed to Auburn, was just home visiting family.
But when the pair of local prep basketball stars spoke as Sills left the restaurant, he let Eaton know that there was a chance he'd be staying in Jonesboro for more than just a visit.
"I told him I might be coming [to ASU]," Sills said during a Zoom conference Wednesday. "I might be coming.
